Laird QR Codes
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Q) Is Laird still printing the QR code on each individual antenna containing the test data for iDAS antennas? A) Recently we received an inquiry about whether Laird continues to print QR codes on their antenna products. Fortunately for you all, they do have QR codes on all In-Building PIM rated DAS antennas, that include CFS, CFSA, CFD, PAS, PAV, CMD, CLS, CMX, CMQ, and CMS. There may be some confusion regarding the conversion of dBd to dBi or vice versa so, in order to clear up the confusion, we decided to create a small chart with the conversion formulas for both. Hope this helps! Gain in dBd Gain in dBi - 2.15 dB Gain in dBi Gain in dBd + 2.15 dB To keep updated with our promos and events follow us and like us on Facebook! Best Antenna for Digi Industrial LTE Modems, Routers & Gateways
Posted by Michael Crudele on
I received a call today from a client that is planning to use the new IX14 Industrial dual LTE (MiMo) router from Digi. The gentleman wanted to know what antennas I would recommend he use with this router/gateway which would be housed in a polycarbonate NEMA enclosure at a fixed location. Since Digi International offers several of these types of industrial LTE cellular devices with MiMo LTE cellular connectivity, I figured I'd blog about ALL of the modems in this category. That would include: Digi IX14: (new item as of Q1 2019) LTE CAT1 with dual SIM for carrier failover and flexibility Digi TransPort...
Alternate to Alien ALR RFID Antenna
Posted by Michael Crudele on
A customer called today, frustrated that they cannot find STOCK of the Alien ALR-8698 RFID antenna. The ALR-8698 is a 10x10 inch, IP67 rated panel antenna for RFID with 70x70 beamwidth. It services both FCC (902-928 MHz) and ETSI (865-868 MHz) Our recommended, IN STOCK equivalent antenna is: RCPL-902-09-SNF, which is basically the same, but with an N-Female connector and it only covers FCC 902-928 MHz. It is VERY robust and very popular. https://www.arcantenna.com/rcpl-902-09-snf-10x10-inch-ip-67-rated-left-hand-circularly-polarized-rfid-antenna-fcc.html HDMNT-100MM mount: https://www.arcantenna.com/rfmax-hdmnt100mm-heavy-duty-100mm-vesa-wall-pole-mount-bracket-for-rfid-panel-antenna-tv-lcd-monitor-display.html RTM-SNM cables: https://www.arcantenna.com/rfid-antenna-hardware/rfid-antenna-cables-50-ohm-custom-coax-assemblies/240-type-low-loss-coax-cable-with-rp-tnc-male-and-n-male-connectors-please-choose-required-cable-length.html All of the above are IN STOCK and available at Arcadian Inc. Times-7 Introduces New B6031 Low Profile RFID Antenna
Posted by Michael Crudele on
Recently, there was some confusion regarding the all new B6031 antennas introduced by Times-7. These are the next evolution of the A6031 series of FCC and ETSI 11x8.5 inch, circularly polarized panel antennas for 865 and 915 MHz UHF RFID. I wanted to take a moment to explain what happened with these part #’s. Times-7 had a typo on their original datasheet and did not know it (and neither did we.) That has since been corrected by Times-7, and by Arcadian Inc. over the past 48 hours. The correct information is below, and this is now reflected in...
