Antenna that Works with BCD996XT Scanner

Recently, we had a client reach out to us about part # WPD136M6C-001 in regards to setting up a BCD996XT scanner. They were looking to see if that specific antenna could be used with a base magnet or a bracket?

Firstly, I’d like to start off by explaining that BCD996XT is capable of scanning a range of frequencies from 2 MHz to 1300 MHz (see below). Unfortunately, our antenna part WPD136M6C-001 only covers the VHF (136-174 MHz), UHF (380-520 MHz), and P25 (760-870 MHz), so depending on what channels you are looking to monitor, this may – or may not- be the right antenna. Please keep in mind that we DO NOT offer an antenna that can cover the entire range of the BCD996XT. As for mounting, this antenna requires a separate NMO base with a BNC connector. We have two choices to choose from, thru-hole or magnetic.

• RNMOM-195-SBM-B-12I-ST (magnetic mount with BNC connector): A RFMAX magnetic roof mount for NMO antennas measuring 3.5 inches in diameter. The magnetic features 80 lbs. pull strength and a 12 feet low loss LMR195 cable with BNC connectors Installed

• RNMOT-58U-SBM-B-17I (thru hole with BNC Connector): RFMAX thru-hole NMO mount optimized for vehicular roof mounting of NMO type antennas. It features a 17 feet RG-58A/U cable and BNC-Male installed connectors.

Frequency Range of BCD996XT:

• 25.0000 - 512.0000 MHz (the WPD antenna only covers 137-174 & 380-520 MHz)

• 758.0000 - 823.9875 MHz (the WPD antenna covers this entire range)

• 849.0125 - 868.9875 MHz (the WPD antenna covers this entire range)

• 894.0125 - 960.0000 MHz (the WPD antennas does NOT cover this range)

• 1240.0000 - 1300.0000 MHz (the WPD antenna does NOT cover this range)
