The Challenge
The four primary kiosk installation formats are indoor stand-alone, indoor wall, indoor glass, and outdoor. A majority of these installations will require the use of LTE/Cellular wireless technology. The challenge is to find an antenna product that is high performing, very robust, and aesthetically pleasing to complement the surrounding environments.

The Solution
The Laird Technologies 4G/3G Multiband Phantom operates simultaneously in the 698-960 MHz and 1700-2700 MHz bands, making it ideal for 4G/3G applications. The mechanically robust design is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications with wide bandwidth and a low angle radiation pattern that is superior to traditional gain antennas in most applications. The low profile design ensures a clean and aesthetically pleasing look. The antennas are a one piece plastic molded housing to a brass base and nested rubber O-ring gasket that guarantees the prevention of water intrusion and leaking.


Note that the 3G/4G-LTE cellular gateway being used in this case study is the Sierra Wireless, Airlink GX440 without wi-fi.
