The TRA6927M3NB-001 from Laird Antenex is a Black 'Phantom' Shot Glass or Salt / Pepper Shaker style Omni-directional antenna with NMO-mobile mount operating at the 698-2700 MHz range for 3G, 4G, and LTE communications. This antenna offers 3 dBi of gain. Please note that this model DOES REQUIRE mounting on a metallic ground plane surface for best performance. The TRA6927M3NB-001 Phantom offers ultra-rugged ABS construction which is virtually indestructible.
The TRA6927M3NB-001 is approved for use when upgrading Honeywell / Mercury Instruments MI Wireless Communication devices for oil & gas monitoring from 2G/3G EVDO and CDMA to 4G/LTE. Simply remove the existing 2G 3G antenna and replace with this model. Equivalent to Ventev # M3030050O100NMO & PCTEL # BMLPVMB/LTE. Cable kits and mounting hardware for this antenna can be purchased separately.

- Field Diversity: Field diversity means that the antenna is simultaneously sensitive to both the electric and magnetic fields of the signal, like having two antennas. Field diversity makes the antenna resistant to the picket-fence fading and multipath nulls that are found in urban operation and undulating mobile environments.
- Mounting: The Phantom Antenna series is available in several different versions within each frequency range. These versions include Standard NMO mount or N-Female / permanent mount (metallic ground plane IS required) as well as NMO mount or N-Female / permanent mount with NGP option (where metallic ground plane is required) We strongly suggest using the N-Female P/ Permanent models for high-risk applications such as digital signage, free-standing kiosks, and automated meter reading DCU data collection units where antennas must resist vandalism.
